Carder,

At 7 Months Old, you are growing like a weed!

Developmentally you are growing by leaps and bounds.  One day, you aren't sitting by yourself and the next day you do it for a few seconds and then before I even knew it, there you were - sitting for long stretches all by yourself.  I don't even know what date to put as the first time you sat because it happened so gradually, but also so quickly!

This month you have really been blossoming - I am sure that it has to do with your new ability to sit - but you now will play independently with your toys for a good stretch of time.  This has enabled you to start developing favorites.  You love to play with the toys in your toy bin, but I think you like to play in the bin just as much!

Some of your favorite toys include your telephone from your Grandmama, your "Crinkle Bear" from you Aunt Karina, Tigger, Haba Rings...

But your absolute FAVORITE toy - Elephant.  We had him on your changing table and used him to calm you down after suctioning your nose.  But you fell in love with him.  And now, every time we put you on the changing pad, you turn to the side and reach for him.  Most of the time you grab him and then it is a production keeping him out of whatever happens to be in your diaper.

 

It is such a joy watching you grow!
